Strong start of the year
Published Tue 17 Mar 2026

Term 1 kicked off with incredible energy across Neptunes, as athletes returned from the Christmas break refreshed, motivated, and ready to work. Training resumed early in January, with the team diving straight into an intensive camp before the school term began—setting a strong foundation for the season ahead.
The club proudly hosted several Come & Try sessions, welcoming new members into our growing Neptunes family. It has been fantastic to see new athletes join and embrace the team environment from day one. We would also like to warmly welcome Amelie and Zoe to the Neptunes family. Having recently moved from Auckland, New Zealand at the end of last year, both girls have settled in incredibly well and already become a valuable part of our competitive team.
Our athletes took to the competition stage at the ASQ 4th Competition at Sleeman Aquatic Centre on 22nd February, where the team showcased a full program in preparation for the 2026 Nationals.

👏 What an incredible weekend—Neptunes truly shined. We are so proud of all our athletes who represented the club with confidence, teamwork, and amazing spirit. The hard work in training is clearly showing.
A special mention to our Combo Team, who in just two weeks prepared their routine and delivered a fantastic performance. It was also a proud milestone moment as Isabella competed in a team event for the very first time, stepping up and contributing beautifully to the team.
The following weekend, the club travelled to Sydney with 10 athletes to compete at the NSW State Championships—an important opportunity to experience the Olympic pool ahead of the 2026 Nationals and Oceania Championships in April.

Across both competitions, Neptunes athletes truly shone—demonstrating confidence, resilience, and strong team spirit. The results reflect the commitment and consistency shown in training, and the positive environment built within the club.
With just one month to go until Nationals, the focus now turns to final preparations. Our upcoming Term 1 School Holiday Intensive Camp, held after Easter, will be a key opportunity to refine routines and elevate performance as we head towards the 2026 Nationals and Oceania Championships in Sydney.
